Sales Representative

  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and credit terms;
  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs;
  • Follow up on outstanding quotations and possible orders;
  • Follow up on outstanding back orders and delivery dates;
  • Keep up to date with the changing trends in the market;
  • Negotiate the best solution for both the company as well as the customer;
  • Emphasize product features based on customers' needs and technical knowledge of the Product’s capabilities and limitations;
  • Select the correct products or assist customers in making product selections;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information;
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service;
  • Enter orders into automated system and pick customer order when needed to do so;
  • Help keep the sales area presentable neat and tidy at all times;
  • Deliver products to customers when needed to do so;
  • Verify deliveries to customers and their satisfaction thereof;
  • Check that orders are correct as per the invoice when dispatched;
  • Keep warehouse and counter areas organized and presentable;
  • Attend all sales meetings, training sessions and external functions when needed to;
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • Have a minimum of a matric certificate;
  • Be well spoken, self-controlled, presentable and respectful;
  • Have good telephone manner;
  • Work well under pressure.;
  • Be disciplined to follow orders and procedures;
  • Honesty and integrity a must;
  • Knowledgeable of Transformers & switchgear a preference;
  • Be computer literate and organised;
  • Be clean, no past criminal record;
  • Have own transport.
  • Negotiable – depending on qualifications, experience & latest payslip
